Hi! I’m TrinaMarie Shaw the current United States of America’s Mrs. Nevada 2022 and I am running for the National Title of United States of America’s Mrs.
My platform is a global issue that needs solving. I am living out my life’s purpose by speaking and teaching on the importance of eradicating stigmas associated with mental health. My mission is to inspire people to share their story as I am, empower others to provide solutions and resources, changing society’s perceptions even if it’s one person at a time. By reaching people before they get to a dark place, we will reduce death by suicide.
You see my late mom was diagnosed with a mental illness and it first impacted me at the age of 7. I was abused and hurt. Interesting plot to my story is that I come from a really good family! I later found out, her mom was also diagnosed. That’s why I know this is bigger than me. It is more than just a cause. I am defining my story and living out why I am here. I am living according to purpose. Will you help me?

- In the World, we lose someone to suicide every 40 seconds.
- In the US, we lose someone to suicide every 11 minutes.
- Death by suicide is the #8 leading cause of death in the United States.
- In Nevada, we lose someone to suicide approximately every 40 minutes
- In Nevada, between the ages of 12-19 years old, suicide is the #1 reason for death and the #2 reason between 20-44 years of age.
Winning the title will allow me to continue focusing on my platform on a larger scale. It would also allow me to honor my mom and support those with no voice. YOU can play an integral part in helping me realize my dream by becoming a sponsor! Your sponsorship is what makes this wonderful opportunity for women across the county possible. In return for your sponsorship you will receive an advertisement in the OFFICIAL NATIONAL PROGRAM BOOK, that will be seen by people from all over the county! Also, a portion of each advertisement will go towards helping me offset the many costs I will incur associated with taking part of a competition of this magnitude.
